Overview

The University of Notre Dame Australia is partnered with its parent university, Notre Dame in the US. It is a young Australian university with the raw energy of fresh vision and inspiration, coupled with the tried and tested experience of the Catholic education tradition established over centuries.

The University focuses on the care of its staff and students in the pursuit of excellence with support from the community, Federal and State governments, and the Australian Catholic church in its growth and development since its inception a little over two decades ago. It has grown from an inspired vision to a robust reality with a promising future.


Location

Notre Dame Australia has two campuses in Western Australia and one in Sydney. Fremantle and Sydney campuses have all the benefits of location in major urban centres, both on their respective coasts, while Broome is located perfectly to access the tropical northwest of Australia with close associations to indigenous Australia.


Campuses

Fremantle campus is located in the West End of the city which serves as the port for Perth, the state capital. This campus houses the University’s Institute for Health and Rehabilitation Research. Facilities also include moder teaching and learning resources and spaces, state of the art technology, and on campus accommodation with assistance in obtaining off campus accommodation.

Broome campus is located in Broome in the Northwest of Western Australia. This campus houses the University’s Nulungu Centre for Indigenous Studies, with state of the art technology and facilities and a focus on indigenous Australians.  There is also on campus accommodation with assistance in finding off campus accommodation.

Sydney campus has two sites, one in Broadway near the CBD, and one in Darlinghurst in the inner city. This campus hosts the University’s Centre for Faith, Ethics and Society and occupies beautiful old Catholic buildings that have been restored and upgraded into modern, high tech teaching and learning environments.


Courses

Notre Dame Australia offers courses in the following subject areas: Arts & Sciences, Business, Education, Health Sciences, Law, Medicine, Nursing, and Philosophy and Theology.

Entry Requirements

Undergraduate entry generally requires the successful completion of the equivalent of Australian Year 12 High School and an IELTS of between 6.0 and 8.0 overall, depending on the course chosen.

Postgraduate admission generally requires the successful completion of the recognised equivalent of an Australian Bachelor degree or higher and an IELTS of between 6.5 and 8.0 overall depending on the course chosen.

Enrolment dates

Semester 1: begins February
Semester 2: begins July

Students are advised to apply well in advance of their proposed date of commencement to allow time for processing applications. AA Education Network can help you with this.


Student activities

There are student clubs and associations, organised sporting and recreational activities and a Student Association providing services to students. Students also organies their ow informal spontaneous social and recreational activities taking advantage of the facilities and resources of their local communities.
